How can I apply for placement?

Applications are made online at http://kuyos.kastamonu.edu.tr/. The Preference Application and Placement Guide, where detailed information on how to apply, is available under the Announcements on the homepage of our Coordinatorship.

What are the required documents in the application for placement? The following documents must be uploaded to the system in the application: Exam Result Document for applicants with an exam result: The notarized and approved translation of the exam result document, which is not in Turkish or English, must be in the "jpg" format as a single page (with the exam result).

Passport / Identity: The pages containing the ID information should be in single format as “jpg”.

For applicants who apply with a diploma, the High School Diploma should be uploaded to the system as a single page in “jpg” format.

When are the placement application results announced?

The results of the 1st placement will be announced on 10 August 2020. You can access the detailed calendar from https://iso.kastamonu.edu.tr/index.php/tr/kuyos/ak academic-takvim.

How do I get the acceptance letter?

As a result of the placement application, the acceptance letter is automatically created for the candidates who are placed in one of their preferences by the system. You can download the acceptance letter from 10 August 2020 http://kuyos.kastamonu.edu.tr/ and print it out.

When are the registration dates?

The first registration dates are Monday, September 21, 2020, Friday, 08.30 - Friday, September 25, 2020, 17.30 (GMT +3). You can access the detailed calendar from https://iso.kastamonu.edu.tr/index.php/tr/kuyos/ak academic-takvim.

What are the documents requested in the registration?

Can I apply with a diploma?

If your diploma grade is above 100/60, you can apply.

Which foreign student exam results are valid?

Our university accepts foreign student exam results (YÖS) carried out by the state universities in the Republic of Turkey. The exam result document is to have a verification code. Foreign student exam result (YÖS) is valid for 1 (one) year.

How many years are foreign student exam results valid?

Foreign student exam results are valid for 1 (one) year.

Which international exam results are valid?

You can view the valid foreign student exams on the "Accepted International Exams" link under the "Placement Procedures" tab.

Will I pay any fees during the Application / Registration process?

Which exams will I take after I have the right to register?

All foreign students are required to take the Turkish Proficiency Exam to be held by the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center. The Exam will be held on 30.09.2020 at 14.00 and on 23.12.2020 at 14.00. Detailed information can be found at http://tomer.kastamonu.edu.tr/.

In addition, students who are placed in the departments that accept students with special abilities must take an aptitude test.

I am already a registered student at Kastamonu University, I want to change my department / faculty, what should I do?

There are two ways to change the department / faculty:

  1. Transfer: If your GPA is 3.00 and above, you should apply to the student affairs of the department you want to pass.
  2. Making an Application for Re-Preference (As a new student): You must apply with a foreign student exam or diploma grade in the form of a new student application.
